Easy Steps To Back Up Your Contacts On Google Drive To Avoid Lossing Them


    All Android phone users access to storing up their contacts on google,This feature can automatically be done based on default settings,all your contacts, app data, call history, and more is been back up to Google Drive.Some users may not have this turned on automatically based on one or more reasons, To turn this service on in other to manually synch your contacts or export them into a separate file, then upload them to Google yourself by following this procedures.


  • Enter your smartphone's Settings.





  • Tap Accounts.

If you have more than one account, tap the one you want to update. 



  • Tap Account sync > More (the three vertical dots) > Sync now.


Note: Manually syncing refreshes your account data for all Google apps, including ones that have auto-sync turned off.

Steps To Backup Contacts on Android By Exporting 

For users who wish to switch phones soon, you can take the contacts stored on your device's hard drive or SIM card and export them into a .vcf file. This will let you import those contacts to a new phone easily.

Open the Contacts app on your Android phone.


  • Tap Menu 
  • Settings 
  • Export.


If you have multiple accounts, choose which one you want to export contacts from.
Tap Save to download the .vcf file.


Immediately saving this contact,  you'll need to store it in a safe place, either on removable  storage like a SIM,flash drive or memory card, or in the cloud via services like Google Drive or Gmail.
